Transporting element is revolving screw with back welded flights. The screw has a fixed gradient. The spiral of the screw is shaped according to the material properties and required tasks. It can be continuous or segmented. The speed with which the material is transported is depending on the angle and the speed of revolution. The movement of the material is brought up by friction of the screw against the trough. Depending on the layout material can be fed in a any position or the whole length of the conveyor and equally let out. The drive can be mounted on the either head or tail section of the conveyor.

The combination of left handed and right handed screw enables bi-directional transport, transport in both directions. The output capacity can be regulated by increasing, respectively decreasing the number of revolutions per unit time. The spirals of the screw are reversed at the ends to ensure the complete removal of material from the conveyor. Screw conveyors are commonly used for powder granular and trickling material in the steel chemical food and oil industry.
